At Kidscool we have certain room routines that educators follow. The routine may vary, depending on current events and activities. Having a routine in each of the rooms allows for smoother transitions into new activities, meals and rest time. The routine is available to families so you are aware of what your child is doing at certain times.
“6 Months – 2 Year-old Room”
7:30am – Kidscool Opens
When you and your child arrive at Kidscool we ask for you to sign in at the foyer. You can also fill out a Daily Information Sheet, with any general comments or concerns regarding your child. We use our in-house app to communicate with parents and keep them updated throughout the day about their child’s learning story, diaper change, sleep and food eaten.
The baby room schedules their diaper changes accordingly every two hours, beginning from 8:00 am. Our infants continue free play and exploration with their educators. The educators also begin to implement any planned daily experiences.
09:30 am – Morning Snack Time
Your child has their hands wiped by an educator to rid any germs as we are about to eat. Children who can eat solids will eat the morning snack. If your child requires a bottle the educator will confirm specific times for this.
10:00am – Play and Learn
Depending on the weather, your child will be offered to play indoors/outdoors for free play time. This is where educators can make observations of what activities your child likes.
10:45 am – Group Time
At this time your child will be involved in a group time, where all the children are gathered and an educator will do a planned experience. Group time allows your child to experience group work and activities.
11:30 am – Lunch Time
Once your child’s hands are washed, they will enjoy a hot launch(to be provided by parents), if your child is not on solids, bottles can be given at specific times.
12:30 pm – Nap Time
It is time now for your child to have a rest, if you do not want your child to rest at this time, our educators will confirm specific rest times with you.
2:30 – Afternoon Snack
Depending on what time your child wakes up, we will provide them with an afternoon snack. If your child requires a bottle the educator will confirm specific times for this.
03:00 pm – Play and Learn
Depending on the weather, your child will be offered to play indoors/outdoors for free play time. This is where educators can make observations of what activities your child likes.
04:00 pm – Group Activity
At this time your child will be involved in a group time, where all the children are gathered and an educator will do a planned experience. Group time allows your child to experience group work and activities.
5:30pm – Kidscool Closes
Your child will be engaged with their educator and free play until you arrive. When you arrive, please make sure you sign out on the daily attendance sheet and take your child/ren’s lunch box.
“2 – 3 Year-old Room”

In this group time, your child is a part of a roll call and a morning reading or group game. Once the group time is complete your child will then transition into washing their hands for a morning snack.
9:30 am – Morning Snack Time
After washing their hands your child will sit down where they choose, and be served a morning Snack from our choice of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grain snacks. If your child has dietary requirements they will be served an alternate meal.
10:00 am – Play and Learn
Depending on the weather, your child will be offered to play indoors/outdoors for free play time. This is where educators can make observations of what activities your child likes.
10:45 am – Planned Experience
At this time each day, your child will be involved in a planned experience that maps to our curriculum.
11:30 am – Group Time
After we tidy up our previous activity, your child will take part in group time, where an intentional teaching activity will be held. After this, your child will move into washing their hands and transition to lunch.
Noon – Lunch Time
Once your child’s hands are washed they will choose a seat where a hot lunch will be served to them (provided by parents).
01:00 pm – Nap Time
After lunch, your child will have a rest in a peaceful tranquil room with educators patting if requested.
2:30 pm – Afternoon Snack
Depending on what time your child wakes up, an afternoon snack will be served. If your child has dietary requirements they will be served an alternate meal.
03:00 pm – Play and Learn
